A place where I can show my creative side. I love to be artsy and crafty... Things I enjoy: scrapbooking, making cards, stamping, painting, sewing, playing the piano and singing. I've posted photos of some of my past creations and will continue to post more as I make them. Put your feet up and stay awhile.

Cammie at MY BLOG is hosting the biggest, hugest, most grand blog candy EVAH! This blog candy is part of a project to bring awareness of Alzheimer's and to thank a caregiver of someone who has that disease. Cammie's grandmother recently passed away from the disease so this project is in her memory. Part of the project is to create a card to thank an Alzheimer's caregiver. I know just who to give my card to. There is a lady from church who is caring for her husband who has this terrible disease. I think it will just make her day!
I really had fun with this card. The leaf stamps are "Autumn Leaves" found at Gina K Designs. First I stamped the image onto cardstock with SU's "Close to Cocoa" and embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I used SU's Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Purely Pomegranate ink... I used a blending brush to do a watercolor effect. "Thank you" is stamped in Old Olive and punched out in a small circle and the green background was punched with SU's designer label punch. The beautiful autumn paper is from Creative Memories. I used "Cutter Bee" scissors to cut out the intricate leaf details. The white dots were done with uni-ball Signo... it's an excellent pen and I highly recommend it.
I really enjoyed making this card and can't wait to make more! My dear, sweet husband is in the process of building me a craft room - it's ALMOST DONE!!!! Oh my goodness, I can hardly stand it!! LOL! In the meantime my house is a huge mess and I made it even messier by doing this project. But oh well.... I'm still smiling because it was so much fun to get out my fun tools and be creative. I hope you enjoyed the card. :)
